VII Urban Art Festival – Torrejón de Ardoz (Madrid)

“Mad Donalds”

April 2017

Mc Donalds street art project: Torrejon de Ardoz is a small but considered place for the Spanish urban art. Graffiti were emerging there alongside rap and hip-hop in the 1990s due to the influence of the US military base at that time
(turned-over to the Spanish government on 21 May 1992). This year street artists had to deal with Zombies so Manomatic found out a hyper-realistic McDonalds portrait was fitting accurately (Mad was chosen for Madrid)!

Just a small presentation about the organization behind this great event: “The Family” is a Graffiti Association of Torrejón de Ardoz, dedicated in body and soul to the diffusion of responsible Urban Art. The Family knows well the difficulty that young people have in learning all the urban art techniques and styles because they taught and followed their learning process for more than 25 years making murals for city councils and individuals. From the Association, many projects were extended other cities.
